Old Computers Like IBM XT, AT Computers and Pentium Line. Repair and Sales in Brazil!
When it comes to old computers or vintage computing, few companies in Brazil still have the technical know-how (Know-How) that ESIJMJG does. We started with computing in the 1980s with the famous MSX line of computers, which in Brazil had two representatives: Gradiente Expert or Sharp Hotbit! At that time, there were many console-style computers, such as TRS or TK and many others.
Everything was powered by an 8-bit processor, standard Z80 or similar! At that time, computers still recorded digital files on K7 tapes in recorders, few models had a floppy disk drive and the Winchester (current hard disk) practically did not exist yet, although only the XT line of computers already had rare models with it built in. The MSX had an interface cartridge that allowed connection to a 5 1/4 or 3 1/2-inch floppy disk, but it was very expensive and rare, so it was possible to load improved DOS systems than the BASIC resident in ROM. MSX1s with IDE interfaces are already on the market today, and I (JMJG) have never seen them, although there are some adaptations today.
At that time, in Brazil, in the mid-1980s, the XT line of computers became popular, with giant cases and built-in 5 1/4 360kb floppy disk drives, and some even with the rare ISA card for connecting to hard drives (HDDs) of up to 512 Mb (maximum). This was the first time that computers with a DOS operating system installed on a hard disk were launched. Several clones of the XT quickly began to invade the national industry, such as the famous Prológica CPUs and several others. All of them were now based on the revolutionary architecture of the 8080/8088 Intel/AMD processors, which were already 16-bit, better than the Z80. The MSX line was already becoming obsolete, since the XT could run the first versions of Win 3.X and improved graphics systems.
In the early 90s, the XT line was replaced by the more modern AT line of computers based on AMD/Intel X286 processors. Now, computers already had 3 1/2 and 5 1/4 floppy disk drives as standard, and the Winchester became known as a Hard Disk (HD), and was more common in computers with DOS systems and the first, more modern Windows 9X. Rapid evolution came in the AT 386 and then in the 486 lines, where we already had computers with a Multimedia Kit and even a CD-ROM!
After that, the Pentium/K6 line arrived, and the subsequent generations of succession arrived to the present day in just a few years.
ESIJMJG has followed all this evolution from 1986 to the present day!
So, why is ESIJMJG so specialized in repairing/restoring vintage computers, XT/AT/Pentium/K6 line?
Quite justifiably, ESIJMJG is a company whose technical staff (JMJG) has been following the evolution of computing since 1986 and, as mentioned, has knowledge about maintenance/assembly of the entire line, from the XT micros, then the AT line micros (286/486/486) and finally the Pentium/K6 line and many others!
It is one of the only companies that has maintained the Know-How with over 25 years of experience, knowing exactly how to configure/assemble all these machines. It is the only one that can still obtain replacement parts, as well as configure/restore/assemble computers from these lines for museums and collectors!
ESIJMJG works with suppliers of old parts that are very rare in the Brazilian market, where almost no one can get parts anymore, but we will still try to find them. They are standard AT power supplies for XT/AT computers, IDE hard drives and special adapters to modernize the equipment for CF cards! And it's not enough to have the parts without knowing what to do with them correctly. Many old computers require special configurations that are not known to the current technical public (it's the trick and know-how that also sets us apart).
Currently, the public that still needs to use old computers (AT/Pentium line) are a few companies that need special boards in ISA slots and that still run programs in a DOS environment!
However, we also serve collectors, museums and any user who wants to have their old computer equipment fully functional today!
What new developments will ESIJMJG bring to the vintage XT/AT/Pentium 1 and 2 computer market in the future?
ESIJMJG will bring many new developments to the Brazil vintage computer market! We are plugged into the latest technologies dedicated to the amateur/vintage market and, as specialists in the subject, we comment on some that are exclusive and never before seen in Brazil!
ESIJMJG will produce in the national market one of the few and rare boards for XT computers with IDE/CF Card technology, which means that on an old XT standard computer, you can run a common IDE standard hard drive or even a CF Card memory card, transforming the XT computer into a true micro with an "SSD" disk! This is rare and unprecedented and we will have it!

We bought a batch of almost new XT and AT boards, which we will reassemble and restore new machines in the XT/AT standard with repainting, "SSD" disks with DOS operating system installed and many games, ready for use by collectors or computer museums! A practically new and restored piece of equipment from the last century being sold today! These are limited and rare editions, dedicated only to specialized and demanding collectors! We will change the market in this sense by re-releasing unique limited editions of certain configurations, these are XT, AT 486, Pentium 1 computers completely new and restored by the only specialized company in Brazil. With certificate and restoration video, a true masterpiece in the Brazilian and world computer market! Complete computers, new and restored, from the painting of the case to the final technical customization!
Unmissable, whoever buys it has bought it! There will never be other opportunities, so stay tuned for our news in this regard!
And for those who have an old computer (XT/AT/Pentium) and still want to keep it working, bring it to our company! We have new and revised AT power supplies, exclusive IDE/CF adapters to give your old computer an "SSD" hard drive and much more.
We can even install old rare operating systems, such as PC-DOS/CPM/DOS as well as Windows 3.11 and many others. We have the original floppy disks to install all of them! It is not only the old computer that matters (Hardware) but also that it is operational (Software). At ESIJMJG, vintage computers are taken care of in every aspect, and are not just sold "as is" like 99% of the used market! Here, used computers are worth much more, it is a different concept, they can be used but they are intact, complete in their functional essence.
Thanks to our partner suppliers, we have unique and exclusive parts for the maintenance of vintage computers, only for use in our laboratory (we do not sell them on the market)!
